I'm going on vacation in about 3 weeks and I'm trying to find a nice swim suit, rash guards and board shorts. Finding the swim suit was easy but the board shorts and rash guards not so much.

A lot of the clothing stores that I shop at seem to think that if you're bigger than a size 12, you're not into surfing or any other type of water sport.

Can anyone tell me where to find board shorts and rash guards that come in plus sizes. Preferably something pretty or really cute!

Thanks!

;)

You can find plus size board shorts and rash guards at

Do WET SUITS come in different colors?

Please tell me...
I was watching Shark shows on Discovery last night & was wondering why most people wear the wet suits that resemble the same colors as the sea lions?
If they were white or brighter, would that attract the sharks just as well?
What are the benefits/ advantages of wearing a certain color or disadvantages?
I am very curious.
So far on the net, I could only find dark colored material wet suits.
Thanks in advance!
I just found this, but nothing notes a certain color to be an attraction to predators. Someone HAS to have info on this somewhere.
"Be aware that black or dark colors absorb solar radiation which is benifitial in the early-late seasons but uncomfortable during the hot summer and Indian summer months."

wet suits come in many colors. there is no 1 color that attracts sharks more than others mostly becuase their eye site is so poor.when they look up they see mostly shapes, it was believed at one time that sharks preffered yellow. those suits were commonly known as yum yum yellow

I'd like to know, since I'll be starting surfing lessons soon and like to purchase my own equipment.

Sharks are attracted because of blood yes, but that isnt the whole shabang. Here is something about sharks, they eat seals, and sharks are dumb. Notice how all shark attacks are mostly to surfers? That iks beacuse surfers when they are out on their surfboard, when sharks look up and see a figure the looks like a seal just floating above them, they take the chance. Black or colored doesnt matter, but just dont swim with seals if you like youur legs, as sharks are mostly at that place. Also if you notice seals kind of can bodyboard in a wave them selves and sharks notice that and mistake surfers. K hope it helps!

Ive tried at least 5 different brands with different ingredients, with all of them having the SPF in common. I hate getting sunburned, but I love kayaking. I know I could dress up like an albino and use white clothes to protect me, but looking for alternative to sunblock that can be applied to my skin.

Have you checked in your local health food store? They usually sell several different types, especially for people with allergies. People there are usually pretty knowledgeable. Talk to them and see what they suggest.
