I'm considering buying a wet suit so I can swim year-round in the Jr. Olympic size pool in my townhouse complex. I've never swam in the winter before, because the water's too cold -- I have almost zero fat to insulate my body, plus overly cold water makes my asthma act up.

But I really want to keep swimming, especially now that I've developed a nerve-related condition in my leg for which my doctor recommends swimming as one of the best remedies. (Meralgia paresthetica, which I'm sure you've never heard of! LOL) Anyhoo, if I had a wetsuit, the coldness of the winter pool and/or the winter weather would no longer be an issue. Or at least I hope it wouldn't.

I'm in a bad way financially, so I can't afford to spend a lot of money. Can anyone recommend a place in the Bay Area (Northern California) that sells wetsuits at reasonable prices? I'd also be open to buying one online, but the place MUST allow exchanges, since according to the size charts, I'm kind of "between sizes".

go to oneils in santa cruz when they have sales, you cant get a better deal than them when they have their parking lot sales but i think they only have 2 a year or so. Otherwise i woudl try craigslist.com.
