Severn bore runs for just over 20 miles. I don’t know how far this runs.. I think the Quiantang Sikver(or Black) Dragon in China may run for something like 100 miles..the daddy of them all.

It does, and about 65 other rivers worldwide, but this is one of the biggest. Severn at it’s best is 1.5 x overhead, and that is not usually for very long. This one can get to real big size..bigger than most youtubers would actually believe.

I was in a 14 foot …
I was in a 14 foot flat bottom jon boat, aluminum, 10 horse johnson motor. I was in the Suwannee River Mouth at the Gulf in Florida and the same thing happened. Only the waves were about 3 foot tall, still too tall to properly handle in a 14 foot flat bottom boat. I was freaking out. The only thing I could think to do was go upstream, diagonal, and cross the waves diagonally and it worked. I didn’t capsize.
