I need some advice when you buy a wet suit should it be skin tight around the neck and arms? I have a wet suit?
but it is lose around the neck will my wet suit drown me in water? Will it make it difficult to swim? Do I need to buy a smaller one? Any helpful advice is dually appreciated.
I would suggest you return it for a new one. Wetsuits should always be tight, all around your entire body (just make sure you can still breath). Yes, it may make it more difficult to swim as opposed to a skin tight one, again you should buy a smaller one. But you will definitely not drown because it is too lose around your neck, you don't need to worry about that.
Also, just remember this: Wetsuits always seem to "loosen up" once they are hit the water. Having a very tight "dry land fit" is very important. If your wetsuit were to fill up with water while you are swimming, it will be very difficult to swim. I hope this helps.

Snug without being uncomfortable. You’ll always have some restriction in movement, that can’t be helped with a proper fitting suit but it should not be "tight". A tight suit will restrict blood flow, which is something you need to your extremities to help keep them warm and functioning.
You don’t need to worry about a wet suit dragging you down. They’re buoyant. You’ll be floating a little higher when wearing one no matter if it fits you properly or not. Neoprene is a type of rubber that has nitrogen bubbles injected into it. Those bubbles provide insulation and buoyancy.
As for water getting in there between the suit and you. That’s supposed to happen in a wet suit. That’s why they’re called wet suits and not dry suits, which don’t allow water in.
That thin layer of water slowly flowing through the suit actually helps to provide a little insulation. Too tight a suit and no water gets in…less insulation. Too much too fast gets in from a too large wetsuit and you’ll lose body heat quickly. That’s why you want snug, not tight and not loose so that your body heats that thin layer of water quickly and keeps that warm water next to your body longer.
I’m not in your skin, so I don’t know how your current suit fits you, but I’d suggest doing some looking around and trying on several other suits to compare with what you have now. If you find one more comfortable and a better fit with a good range of movement…buy it. It’s better than the one you have, right?
